The Blackbird Bar, Ballycotton has been under new management and ownership since 2nd December 2011. Welcome to 'Blackbird, Ballycotton'.

Internally refurbished to its original glory and the beer garden has been completely re-vamped to be a comfortable child friendly environment and also has a heated smoking area.
The Field Kitchen, our trendy mobile kitchen unit in the beer garden is also serving delicious fresh fish from the pier and Clancy's American Style burgers with hand cut chips weekend evenings.
Widely known to be one of the best bars in Cork, the bar has a lively atmosphere. It's always been known as a great music bar with acts such as Mundy, Glen Hansard & Cathy Davey having played here. We intend to keep it that way. We have a music session every sunday and lots of other great nights where bands and DJs will entertain you.

This weekend we have heat 2 of our Singer/Songwriter competition on Friday from 9.30pm. Then it's round 2 of 6 nations rugby on Saturday at 2.15 with Ireland v Italy and a Duffys Cut double header on Saturday at 10 and Sunday at 6.30pm.
We are delighted to present The Strawhall House Band - live in the back room on Friday March 23rd. Tickets for this gig are on sale now from the bar. THE STRAWHALL HOUSE BAND head out to do a series of acoustic Gigs around Ireland in March/April 2018. Featuring Fiacre Gaffney Vocals and Guitar, Jack Maher Vocals and Guitar, Mark Penny Vocals and Piano and Vinny Kilcullen on Bass. Alongside Original Tunes from their fantastic Album “Six Days in May”,released last Summer, the Band’s repertoire includes songs from great “Americana” songwriters like Lowell George, John Hiatt and Guy Clarke. Wow! What a fantastic night full of big stars. We had everyone from Imelda May to Bananarama and from Liam Gallagher to the eventual winner Pavarotti (Maurice). We also had an unbelievable crowd. Thanks to everyone for your support and well done to everyone involved.
