Doghouse Lockhart Rd Wanchai
Australian Pub, Great music, Live sports, Cocktails, Shooters, stag/hen do's, Beer, Steak Lockhart Road with its bright lights has led many a man (and woman) into the Doghouse, and in celebration of the Australian sense of having fun, there’s a bar on Lockhart Road that sums up this phrase which essentially means having too good a time, often associated with staying up late going “on the lash and off the leash.’’

However, while the Doghouse is a great late night spot to have drinks and listen to tunes or watch a sporting fixture on the big TVs, it actually has one of the best steak sandwiches in Hong Kong, and the fries are just the perfect yum factor.

The Doghouse is also a great spot with families early in the evening or weekend lunches. What child doesn’t like to go into the bright blue kennel façade  for a menu that appeals to all age groups. Parents know that when the kids are happy at mealtime,  no one is barking up the wrong tree.

Throughout the Lions test and the Sevens,  The Doghouse televises the action. Ditto Australian rules, Canadian Ice Hockey, Olympics, Soccer matches and XXX.

When asked why he bothered to put a cat among the pigeons and let the dogs out, Australian owner Paul Buxton said, “I like bars with the name ‘dog’ in them. We have another  Doghouse in TST in Mody Road, a Bulldogs in TST and the new Bulldogs Grill in Kennedy Town and the Q Deck in Fenwick Pier.”

The dogged determination to make sure people have a good time is clear the moment you step through the door.
