facebook.comWolf Park Srni – Czech Republic The Wolf park at Srni is only 1 year old and is about 1 hour away from Zwiesel on the road from Srni to Modrava, 900 meters after Srni on the left hand side. We were met by two park rangers one Czech Speaking and the other who was translating into German and also spoke excellent English for questions, we were shown to a lecture room where we were shown pictures and videos of the Wolves as they have a number of wildcams setup in the park for about 30 mins, The visitor centre has quite a lot of interesting visitor info on the wolfs etc. We then took the 30 min walk to the enclose which was a little steep in parts but they do have disabled access, what is really neat is they have a 300-400 meter walkway over the top of the wolf enclosure, now today was misty and dull so didn’t get a clear shot and the wolfs where quite active (My excuse) but I will be returning as it’s an excellent place to practice as the trees are quite dense. We made our way back to the visitor centre, there is no café there but a vending machine that only takes Kroner, and a small visitor shop. All in all a excellent day out and look forward to my next visit.
