Natalie is an international makeup artist and founded Setareh Beauty in November 2014 on the beautiful Golden Coast (California). She prides herself in providing her clients a truly individual and luxury experience. Her Persian and German heritage has given her a unique edge to others in the industry with a global perspective on beauty.
An avid globetrotter, Natalie's travels have taken her around the world! She has lived, studied, and traveled extensively in Brazil and Turkey, namely São Paulo and Istanbul. Her East-meets-West + North-meets-South experiences have shaped her artistic skills as well as her appreciation for diverse beauty. She's a happy mommie and wife, veteran, and a blogger -- always sharing her honest opinions and trade secrets to the world.

If I am in a hurry, or just feeling fancy but don't have time to do a full on makeup (which is most days), a #boldlip always does the trick! This is @clinique Berry Pop Lip Color + Primer. It leaves a nice stain so even when it wears off, you have a nice tinted lip! What's something you do to amp up your look in a hurry?

The downsides of my job are sometimes not getting to see the "final" looks of my individual client work. Because we as makeup artists are oftentimes part of the "prep portion" of pretty much everything, a lot of time we don't see how our work was captured on camera or even get pictures. #sadness #thestruggleisreal ••• However, the lovely @rebekahisack sent over this #pictureofpicture from her bridal boudoir sesh...and o.m.g. this is one of my faves sessions to date! Behind the Scenes
There's so much more to my job than actually doing makeup. There's the whole kit prep, cleaning, stocking, booking, blah blah blah. However, nothing pumps me up more than arriving at a job (esp with multiple artists) and transforming whatever space we have into a full on studio!! Spot any products you love 💕?!

I haven't shared much about me personally in awhile and #theRISEsummit has challenged me to share five fun facts about myself with you today: 1. I have had a life long obsession with sparkly things & metallics. I am convinced that comes from my Persian side 💎 (matches my silver streaks of hair) 2. Growing up, I was a huge tomboy. I wore soccer shorts AND cleats to school, much to my mom's dismay. But at the same time, I played Barbies & dress up like nobody's business. I never wanted anyone to really figure me out, I guess! 👗 ⚽️ 3. I can read music well and play the piano & flute since I was really little but when it comes to signing, I can't carry a tune on pitch to save my life. I still sing anyways! 🎶 4. I love driving manual cars! I even taught my husband to drive stick-shift -- he was always a truck guy but had to learn to drive my mustang (pre-baby days) 🏁 5. Getting married and having kids was never really part of "my" life plans. Focusing on my career was always first. But I'll also be the first to admit that for me, my little family & life has given me so much clarity and perspective, imagining life before is just blurry. But Enough about me, what about you? I got to spend my morning dolling up this lovely Oma for her daughter's retirement ceremony. She told me she was wearing a purple dress, so I opted for a gray/purple smoky eye and mauve lip. I think she rocks it! What do you think? • I think here in this Instagram space, we tend to leave behind these beautiful & mature women. It's not always about the winged liner or pouty lip but rather, the beauty still found in the women who raised us. #👵🏻 • Doing her makeup made me miss my Oma so much. My Oma, a true Alabama & East Texas southern belle, always wore a beautiful and age-appropriate face of makeup everyday. Oh, and I got to also work with the lovely @anika.mua which also made my heart 🤗

There's a number of reasons why: 1️⃣ they've been there for you every step of the way, whether you are a laid back bride or a bridezilla, they've also likely spent a lot of money to match your vision and travel for you, spoil them 💃👯 2️⃣ the people who will be photographed right by your side and live in albums and frames for years, decades, generations, they deserve to look and feel their best too...and hiring a hair and makeup team that can create a cohesive look all while bringing out their unique beauty, well that's priceless 📸 3️⃣we all know there's always one that's a little too heavy handed with the black eyeliner or red lip...totally throws everyone off 🤦🏻♀️ Yes, weddings can be $$ but there are certain investments that are worth it.
