It obtained city status in 1952. The oldest record of the name `<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frundeberg" class="wikipedia">Frundeberg</a>` is the papal document by <a href="/pages/w/133124560061598">Coelestin III</a> from 1197.</p>
