March 1966 Super Compressor by ZENTRA Markenuhr GmbH [Köln, Germany] ‘Savoy’ by Hamilton Watch Co. with the automatic modified ETA Cal. 2452, serial number 1434804. Professionally restored and fully serviced by Localtime, it is wearing a new old stock tropic-style black rubber strap.

Kelbert Watch Co. Triple-Date Calendar - FHF Cal. 175

Professionally restored and fully serviced by Localtime, one of my all-time favourite triple-date calendar configurations, this one by Kelbert Watch Co. with a manual-wind FHF Cal. 175. The crown at 10h rotates the inner ‘bezel’ for the date-indication and the month-window at 9h. The day hand-pointer is controlled by the crown at 3h. It is wearing a handmade genuine large-scale croc strap in burgundy.

New old stock TISSOT Seastar Visodate T12 42mm Super Compressor. The 50mm lug-to-lug length gives it an imposing wrist-presence indeed. It is wearing one of my own handmade premium calf leather strap in black. With it comes, what I believe was, its original NATO strap. Ollech & Wajs ‘Precision’ chronograph - Landeron Cal. 349

Ollech & Wajs was a small brand based in Zürich and became known for supplying a lot of American soldiers with watches in the 1960’s, mainly through a mail-order catalogue. Here is an as-found ‘Precision’ chronograph with Landeron Cal. 349 with a black tri-compax dial and a 20ATU Aquastar-style case, wearing a new old stock Tropic Sport black rubber strap. As I always do with watches that have even a hint of military provenance, I have not polished or changed the plexiglass to maintain its authenticity. The dial itself is stunning. If requested, I can polish the original domed plexi with no problem.

Jan. 1968 TECHNOS ‘Sky Diver’ super compressor ETA Cal. 2472

Finding a nice super compressor is getting harder by the day, so finding one that is a complete set from a respected brand, is worthy of a little celebration. From January 1968, here is a TECHNOS ‘Sky Diver’ 42mm super compressor complete set with both boxes, booklet and sales tag (not to mention the gorgeous tropical dial). Like many automatics of that period, it runs on an ETA Cal. 2472. It is wearing a hand-stitched Strap Junkie strap in burgundy brown that accentuates the lovely dial nicely.
