Open to students from any faculty. Also open to those in the community wanting to broaden their knowledge. May 1 - June 7 Tuesdays & Thursdays 11:30 - 2:20 p.m. Instructor: Paul Cegys This is a 6 week Spring course for students who would like to explore how theatre, art and activism are responding to the ecological and social challenges posed by climate change. The course will focus on the following thematic areas: political theatre, biological stressors, social change and economics alternatives. • Create an on-campus art / performance • Perform a mock international climate change conference • Practice an interdisciplinary approach to wicked problems • Approach topics that you have always wanted to know more about • Imagine new ways of being and knowing

Another #FutureFriday JM Drama is looking for a Stage Manager for our summer production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! Directed by Kevin White. This is a volunteer position with an established community theatre group. Performances will run from August 9-18 at The Registry Theatre. Auditions will take place March 21 and 22, with rehearsals beginning by mid April. Rehearsals will take place on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings. Extensive experience is not required! We have mentors who can work with emerging Stage Managers. The most important thing is a genuine enthusiasm for theatre! #FutureFridays Casting Call Production Title: Book promotion Union / Non-union: Non-union Production description: I am a local author who is doing some voice recordings to promote a forthcoming novel. One of the characters is Darren, a male, 18-year-old, Chinese-Canadian horror movie enthusiast who works part-time as a mascot at a Chuck-E.-Cheese-style restaurant. I am looking for an actor to record a few of Darren’s sections. The recording would be used on the web and in a podcast. Project length: Approximately 5 minutes Project format: Voice recording Recording dates: Flexible timing between late March and early April Recording Location: Waterloo Email: clairetacon@gmail.com Compensation: $200 for up to two hours of work Special considerations: The actor’s identity should align with the character’s (young, male-identifying, of Chinese descent).
