Just a reminder that 3Point's second seminar will be held at the Waterloo hangar on Saturday the 27th of Feb. I'd ask all members intending to attend to go to the 3Point website and register under Community Events so that we have some idea as to the number of attendees. The AGSM briefing starts at 10am. Hope to see you all there.

We are very excited to announce a new addition to 3Point’s lineup, a TEMCO Swift GC-1B. One of the most incredible aircraft ever produced, the Swift is absolutely thrilling to fly. The Swift can do it all, from long distance cross country flights at cruising speeds of over 140kts, to formation and aerobatic flight. I'm going to make a flat statement here, this airplane is so much fun to take off and land that if you do nothing more than push the throttle in on takeoff to get your adrenaline pumping; the training is worth the effort. We are currently in the process of importing the aircraft into Canada. Once complete the Swift will be available for training. Full details, including performance & specification will be available soon.

Last year we had the privilege of working with Eric Dumigan, an amazing aviation photographer. He managed to take some incredible shots in difficult condition; this photo is one such example. Hopefully I will work with Eric again this year.

Got this incredible picture of Mount Etna in Sicily erupting. It was taken while on a training mission during a Squadron exchange to southern Italy in the 1980s.

Here is a picture of my good friend Alkiviadis 'Alki' Makris wishing all of us at 3Point a happy new year. I had the pleasure of flying with him last summer while he was working with the International Test Pilot school in London. So far he has won bragging rights for sending a picture of a 3Point mug or ball cap from the furthest away from Waterloo.
