As you know, on October 28, 2016 the Federal Government advised the staff at the Vegreville Case Procession Centre that the CPC would be relocating to Edmonton no later than December 2018. The Town of Vegreville Council along with the Chamber of Commerce continues to build a case to illustrate to the Federal Government that this decision must be reversed. As part of the ongoing efforts an Economic Impact Committee has been formed. This committee will consist of Town Council members, Chamber of Commerce Executive members, James Tessier, EDDC Manager of Bonnyville and three local business owners. The purpose of this committee is to reach out to the local business owners and get an understanding of current challenges and concerns in regards to the CPC closure announcement. As a local business owner we are asking you to take a few minutes and provide us your personal opinion/feedback to the attached list of questions. As we know your time is limited, the questions have been formatted to not require a large amount of time to complete. The information you provide is crucial in the ongoing efforts to reverse the Federal governments decision. As this is a time sensitive matter we are asking that your return your responses no later than Tuesday, May 2nd. The collected data will need to be summarized and compiled so that it can be brought forward at the FCM in Ottawa at the end of May. Responses may be emailed or faxed back to the Chamber of Commerce office. Should you have any questions relating to this please do not hesitate to call the office. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, Elaine Kucher General Manager Vegreville Chamber of Commerce http://www.vegreville.com/uploads/17_Economic_impact_committee_2.pdf
