The Prospector Steak House is a family owned restaurant that has been serving the Thunder Bay community for over 25 years.
Reservations Sun-Thur for 6+ For over a quarter century, the Prospector Steak House has been serving Thunder Bay and its surrounding areas. We are best known for our unimaginably tender primer rib, our delicious steaks and our expansive salad bar featuring our infamous Prospector Buns.
We cater to all types from solo diners, to family gatherings, to business events. Come celebrate birthdays, graduations, anniversaries or just come out for a bite!
We take reservations Sunday - Thursday for parties of 6 or more.

Wow!!! Thank you to everyone who came by on our Customer Appreciation days! We are so happy to have such amazing customers here in Thunder Bay. We want to give a huge shoutout to all our staff who worked so hard to make these two nights such a success and of course thanks to all of you who came for dinner. This year the Prospector Steak House is celebrating our 33rd birthday!! We want to take this opportunity to thank Thunder Bay for all the support and to show our thanks Feb. 26th and Feb. 27th will be our customer appreciation nights. Come down and try our AAA 8oz prime rib with all the fixings and all you can eat salad bar for only $9.99!!! We're only cooking 75 whole roasts so be sure to get here before it's all gone.
The Prospector Steak House is open today at 4pm! We will also be at the marina for the Annual Family Day Chili Cook Off! Come say hi and warm up with a delicious bowl of chili! All proceeds go to the RFDA 😊
