Congratulations to our very own Lorna MacAskill on her retirement today! After 17 years with us, starting back when we were the Northern Cancer Research Foundation, she's off to enjoy well-deserved free time with her family. If you've ever called our offices or stopped by to see us, chances are you know Lorna's cheerful voice and smiling face. We were all so lucky to work along side you, Lorna, and wish you all the best in your retirement. The office won't be the same without you! ❤️

It's important that rooms in the Adult and Forensic Mental Health department are made safe for patients, but what happens when a patient is moved to another department? Martina Nuttal is helping teach all medical staff the importance of keeping rooms hazard-free for those struggling with their mental health.

On the final day of the Staal Foundation Open we gathered for the Resolute Forest Products Charity Walk! Thanks to all of the wonderful participants and their supporters, $8,768.67 was raised for our Northern Cancer Fund. Every dollar will go towards making sure the people of Northwestern Ontario have the very best cancer care!

A formal gala evening for you and your sweetheart, or a night out with friends! Enjoy a gourmet four-course dinner, music, dancing, and raffles with fabulous prizes. Every donation at this year's Ball will fund advancements in cardiovascular care right here in Thunder Bay, through our Northern Cardiac Fund. Tickets are $150 each, and tables of 8 are available.

This year's Staal Open 50/50 was our highest yet. Congratulations to Donna Peltonen who won the $8,142.50 jackpot (ticket #0306)! The 50/50's 3-year total is now over $19,000, all to improve local cancer care through our Northern Cancer Fund ☺️ Thanks to our volunteers who helped us sell more than 4,000 tickets, everyone who bought some, and to Wawanesa Insurance - Thunder Bay Service Office for their continued support of this draw!
