Ken Dancey ~ April 18, 2017 On April 18, 2017, Ken Dancey passed away to join with the love of his life, Marlene, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ken is survived by his nine children - Kevin (Lori, Megan and Erin), Kim Fletcher (Tannis and Sarah), Karen Hunt (Doug, Gaetan, Maggie, Bradley, Brandon and Samara), Jody Day (Greg), Darrel, Robbie (Tania, Kyle, Amy, Matthew and Jeremy), Dean (Mylene, Andrew, Mathew, Jacob, Joseph, Zachary), David (Colleen Joshua and Sarah) and Byron. Also, by his four great-grandchildren - Elias and Leyland Hunt, and Tristan and Nixon Dancey. Ken was predeceased by his wife Marlene (November, 2011), his granddaughter Melissa (November 2012), and his parents, Tom and Elsie. He is survived by his siblings Betty, Ron, Dennis, John, Donald, and Lynne. Ken was born on July 26, 1933 in Delburne, Alberta. He moved to Calgary and met Marlene in 1952, and they were married on November 18, 1955. After his passion for family, and love of God, Ken enjoyed the decades of winters he spent in ice rinks teaching and coaching kids the game of hockey. Dozens of community kids speak fondly about Ken being the reason they came to love the game, and they enjoyed the many stories he entertained them with on the many road trips. His summers were spent coaching and watching his kids play baseball and soccer, and enjoying his second home - Pine Lake. In 1994, he retired after 36 years working for the City of Calgary, and moved to the home they built at Pine Lake. They became involved with the local community playing carpet bowling and bocce; participating in both the Alberta Summer and Winter Senior Games, and winning medals in both. Ken will be dearly missed for his unwavering convictions, wisdom, limitless generosity and hospitality, his great humor and love of storytelling. Services will be held at the Pine Lake Hub on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to either Samaritan's Purse Canada or World Vision Canada.

Corey Favell ~ March 17, 2017 Corey, cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many, passed away March 17, 2017 in Olds, AB surrounded by her loving family. Corey will always be remembered for her generosity and desire to help others. Everyone will miss her beautiful brown smiling eyes, her outgoing attitude and her ability to find the positive in any situation. Corey was born on December 24, 1970 in Camrose, AB. The family of four made Olds their home in 2004 where they created new friendships and memories. Corey loved vacations with her family and always had a book on the go. In 2006 Corey became a proud Civilian Member of the RCMP, as a dispatcher, where she brought her enthusiasm, dedication, and humour to work each day helping countless people.
