Lithium batteries: Guidance for crew members

After last month's meeting with Shane Goedvolk, I was compelled to look further into the dangers of Lithium Ion Batteries on aircraft. We all carry Phones, Notebooks, Tablet Computers and a host of other devices which use the Li-ion technology. Shane's company, Aerospace Logic, has been hired by Boeing to investigate solutions for this problem, so I'll take his view on the subject as valid. This video really illustrates the problem well. https://youtu.be/dEWOYjSYBLI

A full house attended our monthly meeting last night featuring guest speaker Shane Goedvolk from Aerospace Logic. Afterwards, our members had a first glimpse of our new club project aircraft in the new Shop. Our Shop Supervisor, Peter, outlined the plans for the project and the build facility and is asking anyone who wishes to get involved to contact him at Shop@EAA65.org

Hello Chapter 65 members and friends… One of the benefits of being in a club is the broad network of resources at your disposal. For this reason, we’re reaching out to see if anyone has, or knows of someone who has; a Continental O-200 Rear Case or a Continental C85 Rear Case which they wouldn’t mind parting with. One of our members in in need of one. If so, please contact him directly… Alojz Mihelcic alojz.mihelcic@gmail.com 905-692-9679 Thanks! I’ll be excited if this works! It will open up a big new resource!

Russ Norman | Front Page Newsreel | Public Area

A FABULOUS article from 2003 about our Chapter's founding member, Russ Norman. Russ is 87 years old and his pivotal involvement in Canadian Aviation throughout the years is well-chronicled in this piece by the Canadian Aviation Historical Society. http://www.cahs.ca/russ-norman
