Troll Ski Resort was built by Lars Fossberg in 1972, and 30 years later it is still run by the family. Troll has developed into a great mountain, with 4 surface lifts and 1700 vertical feet of terrain.
While most of the runs are for intermediate skiers, there is a great teaching/beginner area, and a few black diamond runs as well. The runs are long, with great fall lines. The snow is 100% natural, and there is lots of it! Click here for our new Ski School Programs.
The slopes at Troll are South facing, offering pretty views of the valley and bright sunny skiing. The day lodge is a big rustic log building with a huge cozy fireplace, and is almost as warm and friendly as the staff and locals!

Troll Resort, aka, Hildur and Len would like to thank our staff, the ski school staff, the contributions of the ski school to the school program, the ski patrol personnel and the volunteers and coaches, for their contributions in making Troll Resort the fun place that it is. the success of the Nancy Greene program and the Lightning Creek Ski club is only achieved by the dedication of parents and coaches in putting kids on skies. Troll truly believes that skiing is more than fun. It is character building and develops not only kids but adults in a way that makes individuals and families co participants in community development. The Face is closed off, there is still snow on many of your favorite runs, but today will be our last day open. WINTER in March was amazing this year, come on out to hill today and enjoy Troll's final day :)

We are spring skiing all weekend!!! Come join us for half price rentals and free skiing on the Yellow Lift (bunny hill). We may be nearing the end of the season, but learning how to snowboard has been the goal of this young lady :) nothing but smiles :)

Dummy Downhill & Costume party celebrating LAST DAY!
Start constructing your dummy today! What a good way to spend a last day at Troll, launch your dummy off a big jump and watch it crash. Sure sounds fun ! Dummies must be hand constructed, may not exceed 300lbs. No explosives allowed and the max track width is 32″ outside ski edge to outside ski edge, 20”’ inside to inside, with min 4″ clearance. Looking forward to seeing your creativity in action! Dummy,s will be launched off at the end of the ski day . ( when the lift shuts off). Also in honour of our last day we will be having a costume party!
What an INCREDIBLE day at Troll!!! Monday Funday had TONS of sunshine, beautiful spring skiing conditions and lots of people taking advantage of 50% OFF rentals and FREE skiing on the Yellow Lift. It is a GREAT time to try snowboarding/skiing for the first time. The Silver Lift was in full swing...but...our favorite run today, was White Lightning :) We are hoping to see even more new (and returning) faces throughout the rest of this March Break week! #trollresort
