The Anglican Church has a rich liturgical heritage that serves in the spiritual formation of those who allow themselves to be influenced by it. Participation in this communal worship is possible at St. Michael and All Angels where contemporary and traditional styles of worship are open to the public at our weekly services. Attending church is a good habit to develop. It helps reach deep into the heart of our longing. A conference called "Desiring the Kingdom" was held in Toronto this past fall and is written up by Sue Careless in The Anglican Planet, Advent 2015 edition. An article well worth reading. The conference speaker was James K.A. Smith. More on this to follow.

EPIPHANY: WALK IN THE LIGHT Its the first month. Looking ahead to the twelve months of 2016, one of the first things I notice is the passing of time. The first month is almost over. In this month I have looked over the past twelve to appreciate what has transpired and pick up the threads that will carry into this coming year, into the hours, the days, the weeks, the months. The times of waiting and watching blossom into love in action and the breathtaking presence of God's light in Jesus shines all around. Do our eyes see it? Do our hearts recieve it? That marvellous light draws me, compels me to walk in it and discover it's treasures. "But you ...... declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9
