The Peachland Eagles Nest B&B is a place to fall in love, relax, think or plan your next year’s goals. The Eagles Nest
The property its self is very interesting with its many changes in land scape and views. There are many large Ponderosa Pines on the property. The home sits by itself and is very private. There is room for ample parking by the cedar split rail fence and there is space for short term RV and boat parking upon request. There are hiking trails just minutes away up on the next ridge. Watch for the local herd of Black Tail Deer and black bears moving up through our property from the lake to the park on the ridge above. There are many birds flitting about in the pines.

There are two suites available, the Treehouse Suite and the Eagles Nest, each with their own private deck and entrance. The two suite can be rented together providing sleeping for 10 guests. The treehouse is open and the Eagles Nest Suite is under construction.

The Eagles Nest Suite Opening May 2017 Last holiday season was very successful and the Treehouse Suite was very much enjoyed by our guests. The Eagles Nest Suite is the main floor of the house. I thought you might enjoy some renovation photos and we progress. Check out our website at www.1eaglesnest.ca. The Eagles Nest Suite is the main floor of the home is totally private with private entrance and deck. The wide entry way is stone tile and invites you to walk into the open floor plan. • Almost overwhelming; the massive stone fireplace on your left, the incredible view everywhere you look • A chef’s kitchen • Air conditioning for those hot Okanagan days The Livingroom has a rock fireplace and invites you to gather around it in the comfy chairs, love seat and sofa-bed that opens into a queen bed. • TV, DVD and Wi-Fi for your entertainment • Hardwood floors set all this off very nicely The kitchen counters are stone and there is a breakfast bar with bar stools, gas range, and microwave, a massive fridge with ice maker, and coffee station. The kitchen is fully equipped. • Dining room is graced with a dark Russian Pine table that will seat 8 people The patio doors from either the dining area or the kitchen lead out onto your private deck. The view is stunning. • You see from Kelowna all the way to the south past Summerland • One can spend the day watching the light and mood changes of the sky and lake • Deck has a BBQ and a wicker lounge set • Remember to watch for the local herd of Black Tail Deer and black bears moving up through our property from the lake to the park on the ridge above The master bedroom has a king bed, ensuite and a walk-in closet. It is spacious and inviting. The second bedroom has a king bed and lots of storage. Beside it is the main 4 piece bathroom with double sinks. Have a long bath and pamper yourself. Sommelier Express, Summerland It was time to have some fun. I had been working on buying and building Phase 1 of the Peachland Eagles Nest B&B for several months. When the Treehouse Suite opened the guests were having all the fun. I stopped in at the 8th Generation Vineyard and they told me about a wonderful event organized by the Bottleneck Drive Winery Association called The Sommelier Express (bottleneckdrive.com) It turned out to be a wonderful event. The guests arrived at the Ketal Valley Steam Train station (KVR). All were in good spirits and the Vintners were serving their finest sparkling wines and there was a wonderful jazz duo providing entertainment. The “all aboard” shout was heard and we all scrambled to just the right seat for the train ride. I had invited a long-time friend, Karl, to join me for this event. Karl was a Chief of Transport in the Burnaby fire department so we had to sit by the engine. During the trip I was constantly impressed with the beauty of the valleys below and the fine white wine we were served to the first leg of the journey. Once we arrived at the KVR trestle, where the train turns around, we were greeted by the same Jazz trio and two of the cideries serving wonderful ciders and hors d'oeuvres. Once underway back to the KVR station the evening sun skimmed the valley and back lighted the vines. To add to the beauty we were served fine red wines. Once we arrived back at the KVR station we were greeted with more music and beautifully set tables. The evening dinner was 4 courses. The vintners had chosen wines to pair with each course. They joined us at the table and we had interesting conversations. The cost was only $125 and that was a bargain for the most wonderful afternoon and evening. I sincerely hope this becomes an annual event. See the Sommelier Express Album
