Students in our Early Childhood Education/Educational Assistant program were delighted to host Wee College Evergreen and to venture to Little Treasures Child Care. The students were put into groups and had to develop an experiment that was age appropriate. This was a project for the preschool component of the program. One of the many ways that Oulton College provides #RealLifeLearning to prepare our students for their field of study.

This past weekend four of our Paralegal students participated in The 2018 McKelvey Cup Moot Court Competition as “witnesses”. The 2018 McKelvey Cup was hosted by the Faculty of Law at Université de Moncton. Three Maritime law schools competed in both French and English, to be judged on their abilities to prepare witnesses for trial, conduct examination, cross-examination and plead before a judge and jury. Our Human Services Counsellor Team did an amazing job fundraising for the Coldest Night of the Year event. The grand total was $1567.60! All proceeds raised will help battle youth homelessness in Moncton through Youth Impact Jeunesse Inc.. Fun Fact ➡️Out of Canada, Moncton ranked 5th in terms of money raised. 🎉

Bill Vance visited our Travel and Hospitality students yesterday! Bill Vance is Chair of the World Wine & Food Expo, which takes place in Moncton every November. He has visited the Travel and Hospitality class numerous times over the last 10 years to impart his extensive knowledge and passion of wine as Moncton’s premiere sommelier. The students compared two wines to test their palates.
