Dear parents, We are approaching the time where we need to consider staffing for the 2018-19 school year. It is critical that we have accurate numbers for our Kindergarten registrations (French & English) as soon as possible. If you have a child who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall and you have not yet registered, could you please contact the school at (306)731-3338 or via email at lumsdenelementaryschool@pvsd.ca . If you know of families in the community who have children who could register, could you please share this information with them? The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to LES from March 28 - 29, 2018! Students will have an opportunity to visit the Book Fair during school hours. The Book Fair will be open both nights during Report Card Conferences for families to shop. What better way to promote reading to our students than by supporting this important literary event. We invite your entire family to participate by purchasing the latest and greatest in children’s books

Report Card Conferences are taking place from 3:45 – 7:45 pm on Monday, March 26, 2018 and Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Lumsden Elementary School is using Conference Scheduler for Report Card Conferences. Conference Scheduler gives parents/guardians the ability to book conferences with teachers at a time that is convenient. Please see the Lumsden Elementary School website for step by step instructions on how to book a conference time. The Conference Scheduler will be accessible from March 7 to March 20, 2018. Dear Parents, February 28th, 2018, is Red Cross Pink Day. As part of our celebrations, students will be encouraged to wear pink on that day. If students would like, they can order the official Red Cross Pink Day t-shirt through the school for $8.00. (There is a substantial cost savings if we order collectively!). Sizing information is below. Please indicate your child's name, size, and whether they would like an English or French t-shirt using the link below. The deadline to order is Friday, February 2nd. Payments can be made to the front office directly. PLEASE NOTE: Grade 7 students will have their t-shirts purchased for them by K+S for their attendance at a Day of Pink rally in Bethune on February 16th!

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration for the 2018-2019 School Year! Lumsden Elementary School is now accepting registrations for the 2018-2019 school year. Any child who will be five years of age by December 31, 2018 is eligible to register for Kindergarten. Lumsden Elementary offers both French Immersion and English programming. French Immersion is offered to students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. French Immersion is also available to PVSD students who reside outside of the LES attendance area. Please note, however, transportation will be managed between PVSD and parents.
