Why Your Tattooer Can't ( or shouldn't) Work Sick We all have days where we're just a little off. Everything hurts. Our eyes are burning or our heads hurt or our noses are stuffed or our stomaches have us running. On those days even our ears can be irritated by people daring to speak in our presence. It is unpleasant to work when a person just doesn't feel right. I've worked jobs were it was possible to go in anyway and give it my best shot, as the job only took 50% effort anyway, right? Y'all know the feeling. Worst case is, the sick spreads to the next coworker. ( which super sucks anyway. Stay HOME) Tattooing isn't like that . Tattooing takes 100 % concentration and precision. Tattooing takes a lot of physical strength . You want your tattooer's best work every time. No matter what. We want to give you nothing less than our best as well. ( there will be a whole other post about all the rules and specificity that may make your tattooer seem persnickity , but are really just about setting the conditions to give you our best work) . If a person is standing at a cash register , and counts out the wrong change because they are too sick to focus, that's an easy fix. A messed up tattoo is a whole other level of problem. The worst case isn't even a messed up tattoo. If your tattooer is working sick, worst case can be deadly infection. So, if your tattooer needs to reschedule due to illness, please know that it is never taken lightly. You'll feel disappointed, as will your tattooer. Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year to all our wonderful people. I can never quite express how very grateful I am for your continued support over the years as my art and skill has grown. To those who have been patient as the wait for appointments has increased, I thank you so very much. The increasing trust with the design process, over the years, has also made the work more exciting Thank you. I am also so thankful for those who have taken my recommendation for their simpler pieces, and supported Draven in her journey entering the tattoo world, as my apprentice and now junior artist!
