Fort Erie is a border-town located in the Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada. It has a population of approx. 30,000.   HOUSE RULES - We welcome you and your comments on the Town of Fort Erie Facebook Page. The purpose of this site is to promote dialogue around matters of public interest to the Fort Erie Area, including its many residents, businesses and visitors.

We encourage you to submit your questions, comments, and concerns, but please note this is a moderated online discussion site.

Once posted, the Town reserves the right to delete submissions that, in the moderators opinion,  contain vulgar or offensive language,  defamatory remarks or comments that target or disparage any group or individual based on race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability. Further, the Town also reserves the right to delete comments that:

Fire Chief Urges Residents to Install Smoke Alarms and Practice Fire...

In the past 2.5 months, there have been 22 fire fatalities in Ontario, which is seven more when compared to last year’s recorded numbers between Jan. 1 and March 15. Therefore, the Fort Erie Fire & Emergency Services wants to remind the public of the importance of having working smoke alarms and fire escape plans for all households.

We are very excited to announce that the NEW Community Guide will be delivered to over 13,000 residents and businesses on Thursday, March 9 (formerly known as the Leisure Guide). Quick facts about the new Community Guide: • The Guide includes detailed recreational programming from a few local community organizations such as Boys & Girls Club and Seniors Centre. • Content in the Guide was developed by the Town of Fort Erie with the help of over 160 Fort Erie organizations. • The Guide is funded through advertising and was designed, printed and distributed by the Fort Erie Times. • The Guide will be published bi-annually (Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter). • The Guide includes information about public services, recreational activities, events and community programs. • The Guide includes an “Insert” that can be removed. The Insert includes important seasonal information and a Community Events Calendar with over 75 local events happening from March to September. Hope you like it!
