Certified installation of polyurethane foam insulation that can be sprayed or injected in residential, commercial or industrial buildings  Humber Spray Foam Inc. is a Corner Brook based business specializing in the installation of polyurethane spray foam insulation for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Certification
Our technician is experienced in different types of applications, trained by Quality Assurance Professionals and certified by Exova, a spray foam installation certification system recognized in Canada.

Product
Polyurethane spray foam has the highest insulation value per inch compared to other insulation products.  It is impermeable to air, so its R-value is not decreased by heated air moving through the insulation as it does with fibreglass or cellulose.  We use a closed cell, medium density polyurethane spray foam, Proline Plus 200 which:
•   Delivers an R-value of 13 per 5 cm (2 in.) of foam.
•   Is virtually impermeable to air with a flow of 0.0002L/s.
•   Does not absorb water (.4% water absorption); it can act as part of a vapour barrier system and is resistant to mold formation.
•   Adheres to all surfaces including wood, metals, concrete and plastic.
•   Can greatly add to the structural stability of a building when installed between framing studs.

Applications
•   Can be used in interior or exterior building envelope applications, above or below grade, between wood or steel stud framing members.

•   Ideal for airtight construction, areas where a high R-value is desired in a limited space, rim and sill joists and other hard to insulate spaces, anywhere moisture may be a problem, cathedral ceilings, industrial style metal buildings or containers.

Cost considerations
•   Spray foam is a high quality insulation that will add value to your building.
•   In new, airtight construction, it is estimated that the cost of installing spray foam may be recovered in 5-7 years through savings on the heat bill.
•   For home upgrades to improve insulation, rebates are available to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador through the Take Charge program (takechargenl.ca).

Apollo 1 mission. Humber Spray Foam cut its teeth on going to Labrador. Mental note to self...make reservations next time. Didn't make the morning ferry so we checked out the thrombolites in Flowers Cove. Then we went back to wait for the next ferry and parked beside The RCMP Intimidation wagon. I thought my rig was big!.
