Hello families of U9/10 athletes (birth year 2008/2009) Upon review of our pricing structure for Outdoor 2018, we have revised our Academy fee for the U9/10 age groups for our Development Tiered League Play teams. Academy will now be $160, due after team placement (previously $220) This takes into consideration the shorter season for the U9/10 age group, CMSA games ending July 8th, with the final 'festival' tournament July 13-15. With this fee: 14 Academy sessions including Pre Season training are provided; access to Ball Mastery drop in sessions; and optional weekly Goal Keeper Academy. This age group begins the 'Golden Age' of development in team sport, and such our Development teams will be coached by our Technical Director John Castrillon and Senior Academy Coaches. Assistant parent coaches will be mentored over the season. A quick review of the time commitments and time line for playing soccer in the CMSA league for Outdoor 2018: 1x 90 minute Academy/week (Monday or Wednesday 5-6:30pm at Rangers fields) 1x 90 minute 'team' practice/ week lead by your Senior Academy coach (paid position) 1-2 CMSA games / week - U9/10 will have set game days each week, and once the team is tiered after the March evaluation sessions we'll have a better idea of the spring schedule. Most often there is one weekend game/week, and usually 2-3 times over the season a 2nd game will be on the schedule. March 19-25 evaluation sessions: no cuts made, simply seeing the kids out together to decide on tier placement within CMSA for the team. Late March-April: Preseason training, 2x week April 28: CMSA games begin, regular season training schedule of 1x 90 min Academy, 1x 90 min practice plus games; additional optional training July 8: Final CMSA games scheduled July 13-15: CMSA Festival, no city finals, just fun matches to wind up the season - this is not a mandatory tournament for the team to enter, so if the majority of our families have gone on vacation by this time, we simply don't enter the team. If you have any questions about our Development Tiered League Play program, please contact: Rhonda Carr Cochrane Minor Soccer Tiered League Play Coordinator cms.tieredleagueplay@gmail.com
