FREE FLIGHT IN A GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT COPA FOR KIDS The Kamloops Flying Club, in conjunction with the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), will be hosting another COPA For Kids event on Saturday June 3rd, 2017. This program is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 17 (inclusive) and is designed to provide youth with an opportunity to experience flight in a typical general aviation aircraft, similar to the four passenger plane pictured. It is also hoped that this introductory program will lead some participants to eventually consider one of the many aspects of aviation as a career possibility. Each introductory flight will include a brief explanation of flight (ground school), an explanation of the various parts on the aircraft (walk around) followed by a 30 to 40 minute flight around the Kamloops area. There is no fee for these introductory flights but registration is required. Space is limited so early registration is strongly recommended. To register, go to the Kamloops Flying Club webpage (www.kamloopsflyingclub.com) and click on the COPA for KIDS drop-down menu. Read the description of the COPA For KIDS event and scroll down to see the FAQs. Follow the registration link to start your registration, select a time (only 9:00 am available for now) and click Register. Indicate how many Junior Aviators you are registering, click CHECKOUT and complete the required information. Click COMPLETE REGISTRATION to submit your registration to the Kamloops Flying Club. We expect to fill all seats quickly so early registration is important. We will put on another session in the afternoon of June 3rd once all spaces are filled for the morning. Even so, we expect that we will likely have a wait list. Therefore, if after submitting your registration you find that you have to cancel your registration, please let us know as soon as possible so that someone else can have your seat and enjoy the experience. If you have any questions, please see the contact information at the bottom of the registration form. Hope to see you on June 3rd. M. Dauncey President Kamloops Flying Club
