Good morning! I'll be making a lot of soap in the next week or so in preparation for my summer markets, so I hope you all don't mind me sharing the photos!!! Last night I made a big batch of tea tree oil and activated charcoal soap right before bed as I am getting ready for some busy summer markets in the coming months! I use tea tree oil because of its antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. It helps to clear up breakouts, rashes, and minor irritations. Activated charcoal acts as a deep cleanser for the skin, helping to draw out harmful toxins that clog pores. It's even used in hospitals to treat certain types of poisonings! Tea tree oil and activated charcoal are great when used together on oily skin, helping to control breakouts and other pesky skin issues like psoriasis and dandruff. The black bars look really pretty when cut and it's one of my most popular bars of soap! It smells so earthy and fresh at my house today! As always, this soap is vegan, palm oil free, and 100% natural. #soap #cpsoap #soapmaker #allnatural #handmade #vegan #teatree #activatedcharcoal #homesteadmaker #homestead #homesteadlife #homesteading #farm #farmlife #afarmfreshlife #alberta #canada

A Farm Fresh Life welcomed 5 new hens to the farm today! These girls were rehomed from an Alberta breeder who was making room for fresh stock. They are from a Cream Legbar Rooster crossed with a blue maran hen, and they lay cream coloured eggs, have blue cheeks, Dalmatian spots, and seem very relaxed for their first day in a new coop! Black Oil sunflower seeds and mealworms will win over any chicken though...😂 They will stay for 4 weeks in the quarantine coop for biosecurity reasons, after which they will be integrated into the current flock! Very excited for more farm fresh eggs!

Athabasca Wellness Fair & Trade Show

Hi Everyone! It's been a very busy few weeks over at A Farm Fresh Life! After weeks of preparation, I taught my first soapmaking course in town at the Athabasca Native Friendship Centre. It was so much fun and I hope everyone who participated learned a lot! I was also able to finally seal the deal with an Alberta egg farmer to rescue 30 battery cage hens from slaughter in the beginning of June. These chickens are only 6 months old and still have so much life left in them, so I am happy to welcome them to the farm. I'm sure they will need lots of TLC upon their arrival so I am looking forward to sharing that journey with everyone who supports A Farm Fresh Life! I'm hoping the new feathery additions will mean that I can supply more farm fresh eggs to the Athabasca Farmer's Market as I keep selling out very early in the day! Tomorrow and Saturday, I will be set up at the Athabasca Multiplex for a great local event, the Health and Wellness Tradeshow, so come and say hi and see what A Farm Fresh Life is all about! https://www.facebook.com/events/1510167332368145??ti=ia
