Breeder of Nova Scotia Duck Toller Retrievers After breeding under the name of Foxgrove Kennels since the year 2003, we decided in fall 2013 to create our own kennel and REDZONE Kennel was born in January 2014.

We are a small kennel in North Lancaster, Ontario situated about 1 hour east of Ottawa and 1 hour west of Montreal. We have over 40 acres of woods for our tollers to run in, a pond for them to swim and retrieve in and our own agility field for them to train in.

We strive to breed a healthy, active and versatile toller with a good temperament that is a great family pet and is capable of participating in all the activities that are available to the toller. All our dogs are most importantly members of our family. They are all titled in obedience, agility and the hunt test program.

To the start of the 2017 Redzone yearly reunion. 32 people and about 25 tollers. Tollers from the first litter I ever bred 14 years ago from the Sprite - Tag litter to tollers that were bred from my last litter. People are here from California, Conneticut, Toronto area, Petawawa, Ottawa area, Quebec City, and all around Montreal. People started arriving last evening and the rest arrive this morning. Some come with trailers. Many are sleeping all over the house. Thank goodness for air mattresses. It will be a busy 2 days with some agility, field stuff, games, lots of swimming in the pond, walk in the woods, good food and catching up with old friends. Pictures to follow.

Huge congratulations to Anneli Hilton and ARSON (Sassy-Josh) who were at the AWC and EO tryouts all weekend. Arson finished third and made the world agility team. They will be heading to Europe in the coming year. When she got Arson, she told me she wanted a dog that could run on the world team. I told her that I gave her the seed but she had to make it grow and grow he did. I could not be prouder of this team.

OTCH Jester (OTCH Redzone's A Bit ov Mischief RE, JH, WCX). I cannot be prouder of my girl. She passed 3 of 4 utility classes this weekend for her OTCH title. She gave me some no sits today so we lost some points but overall did wonderful routines. For being a new dog to the utility class and being so young (3 years and 2 1/2 months) I could not have asked for more. I think she has a bright future in obedience as we go on for her OTCHX.

Very disappointing news tonight. Ultra sound confirmed that there will be no Jester - Iko puppies this spring. She is not pregnant. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I am very sad but what can you do.

8 Years ago today, Sassy gave birth to her first litter (Sassy-Dux) and what a littler that is. Great dogs with great handlers. Happy birthday to Nixxy, Skeena, Kayla, Gunner, Naatti and my one of my favourite boys, Charger. May you all have a great day. Sassy looks like she is smiling in the picture. She was a great mom.

I was just made aware of the CKC top agility dogs for 2016. I am thrilled to say that 3 of the top tollers in agility are from my Sassy. 2 are from her first litter (Sassy-Dux) and 1 is from her second litter (Sassy-Josh). Huge congratulations to Heidi Grasswick and Skeena (#1), Anneli Hilton and Arson (#3) and Dorcas Beaton and Nixxy (#5). Not only are these 3 great dogs but as their breeder, it is a privilege for me to call their owners, my good friends.

Best laid plans always get messed up. Mother nature decided to play a trick on me. Jester came in season 3 months early so it looks like I am driving to Washington area to meet Iko much earlier than planned. So much for the obedience trials she was entered in. I guess her OTCH title will have to wait for after the puppies. Good news is that she can train towards her SH this summer as the puppies will be gone by mid June. You can always find something positive with everything that happens.
