www.ilonavandenbergh.be I’m a Belgian ceramic designer, specialised in
- designing custom made tableware for hotels and restaurants
- designing ceramic products for designlabels
- designing and producing custom made urns
- designing and producing unique handmade ceramic pieces
Design is my being. It is the material translation of my personality. The shape I create is an extension of my body, where a part of my soul lives.
To design is filling a void by means of sleek, pure lines and shapes, often inspired by nature and graphic design.
Casting is the major technique I use. This results in repetitive production and small scale installations.
Presented in an installation, the objects evoke an organic and dynamic feeling. They breathe an atmosphere of serenity. Where shadow and light bring the collection to life. Where lines and shapes conduct the rhythm. Where purity and simplicity rule.
‘Dare la luce’ (giving birth, giving light), is my goal.
Touching people by the purity and soberness of mydesigns.
Creating something that is beautiful to the mind and eye and that can be funcional at the same time.
