THIS IS NOT A DRILL: ANTI-THEFT SCREWS Police and volunteers from Community Against Crime will be at Pacific Werribee on 27th April 2016 between 9am and 3pm fitting one-way screws to number plates in an effort to deter thieves. Number plates are usually stolen to commit further offences, including petrol thefts, burglaries and other crimes. Thieves often target cars in dark, secluded areas. They prefer "I Love Loosey" over "Remember the Tightens;" stealing plates that are easy to unscrew or pull off. Put it in your calendar - see you there!
