Thank you to our "First Responders" guest speakers at yesterday's Rockhampton Grammar School/Suncorp Bank Breakfast on the Fitzroy Conversation Series. Guest speakers included Mark Edwards (Rockhampton Base Hospital and LifeFlight), Kelli Blomfield (Queensland Ambulance Service), Ed Cowie (State Emergency Services), Tanya Mellett (Rockhampton Base Hospital) and David Peff (Queensland Police). Thank you also to Suncorp Bank Senior Analyst in Economics and Financial Markets, Darryl Conroy for his presentation. RGS is grateful to the ongoing support from Suncorp Bank, The Morning Bulletin and Artisan Bakery. The next breakfast is on Tuesday, 25 July, from 7am - 8.30am at the RGS Rowing Club. Thank you to the local businesses that supported the Rockhampton Grammar School Past Students' Association Race Day at Callaghan Park on Saturday, 6 May. Empire Apartment Hotel (lucky gate prize), Malouf Pharmacies (gifts for Fashions of the Field) and to the Giddy Goat Cafe & Bar (hosted post race day function). Thank you also to all businesses who donated prizes towards the multi-draw raffle. Also, thanks to the Rockhampton Jockey Club, Olive Catering, Every Blooming Thing, Stage and Audio, Thomo's Better Electrical and Bidvest for their support and assistance.

Thank you to everyone who supported the annual RGS Past Students' Association Race Day at Callaghan Park on Saturday. Thank you to the following businesses and people for supporting the 2017 event: Empire Apartment Hotel (lucky gate prize), Malouf Pharmacies (gifts for Fashions of the Field) and to the Giddy Goat Cafe & Bar (hosted post race day function). Thank you to Vicki Crow for judging Fashions of the Field and thank you to the RGS Hospitality and Music departments for once again supporting the event. Also a special thanks to all our Race Day raffles sponsors. And thank you once again to the Rockhampton Jockey Club for all their assistance. It was great to see racing back at Callaghan Park after the recent floods.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Red & Black Association's annual Mother's Day Luncheon at the School on Friday. The day included music performances from both Primary and Secondary School students followed by a luncheon in the School's Memorial Assembly Hall. The Rockhampton Grammar School wishes all our mums a Happy Mother's Day for this Sunday.

Thank you to all students who represented RGS at today's Rockhampton District Cross Country trials. Your efforts helped RGS win its 14th consecutive district title at Kalka Shades today. The girls team won overall and the boys tied for first with Emmaus College. Good luck to students selected to represent Rockhampton District.
