Saw a client with over $400,000 in super today. Fees are just over 2% so costing nearly $9,000 per annum. Just a "run of the mill" fund (so doesn't offer anything special to justify their ridiculous fees). Moving to a fund that will cost closer to 0.5% saving over $6,000 a year in fees. Happy client, happy adviser.

I ran my seminar on Tuesday evening and had a great turnout. You forget how much time and energy needs to go into preparing for them when you haven't run one for a while. The Centrelink Financial Information Services Officer was fantastic and she earned rave reviews from the attendees I spoke to afterwards. I'm sure that there wasn't a person in the room who didn't benefit from the information provided. I believe the food and wine was a hit too. Thankyou to all who attended.

Really nice article. I love the comment about walking down the street dripping money behind us by buying sunnies, coffees and cocktails and spending on ATM fees. This is something I have harped on about recently ... with the concept being that we should understand the things that are important to you and then organise your finances around that. Control you money rather than have it control you. These authors are just so much more eloquent than me. http://www.businessinsider.com.au/money-is-the-means-not-the-end-2016-7
