CIG: Acupuncture for Dogs

The Murdoch Veterinary Students Association MVSA have organised a presentation Dr Rowna Barrett from Acupaws to give a talk on acupuncture on dogs. The event is free for Canine Interest Group members, non-members are asked for a gold-coin donation.

Murdoch animal science students win Rio Tinto Groundbreaker scholarships

Congratulations to Animal Science students Naomi Leahy and Komala Ravendran who have been awarded Rio Tinto Groundbreaker Scholarships. Naomi will use her scholarship to travel to King Island where she will be investigating dark cutting in cattle. Komala will use her scholarship towards the costs of relocating to the Pilbara where she will be investigating different feeding strategies for cattle so they achieve maximum weight gain during the dry season. http://media.murdoch.edu.au/murdoch-animal-science-students-win-rio-tinto-groundbreaker-scholarships

Our "Veterinary Professional Life" units are designed to help prepare students for life as a veterinarian. Support is available to new greaduates through the The Australian Veterinary Association WA Division's Graduate Support Scheme. Support is also available through a number of support services including Lifeline (13 11 14) and Beyond Blue (1300 22 4636).
