Your local GP vet clinic with all the advantages of a specialist hospital.  The Animal Hospital at Murdoch University provides a full veterinary service for the local community including vaccination, sterilisation, dietary advice and assistance with any illness or injury that your pet may suffer.

We are primarily a teaching hospital and final year veterinary undergraduate students are an integral part of, and an asset to, our service. Your pet will be under the direct care of one of our qualified veterinarians and one or more of our students. These students will see to it that all of your pet’s needs are attended to and will be supervised by the attending veterinarians at all times.

For your convenience and to minimise delays we consult by appointment only.

Rabbits feel the heat too. Keep your rabbit cool by bringing it inside on hot days or ensuring it has plenty of shade. You can also add ice to their water to ensure they always have a cool drink.

We are often asked if it is safe to give dogs the ham bone from Christmas dinner. Cooked and smoked bones often splinter which can cause choking or injury to teeth and gums or cause blockages in the digestive system. Pork and ham fat are often associated with pancreatitis – don’t make your dog vomit this Christmas.
