It is forecast to develop into a tropical cyclone and move west-southwest towards the coast over the weekend. Look after yourself before the boat, but if you are able to: 🔹ensure your boat is secure on Its mooring and ropes are not at risk of cutting or chafing 🔹batteries should be fully charged and automatic bilge pumps need to be working, while float switches should be clear of debris that could that could interfere in their operation 🔹check all cockpit drains are clear 🔹take down all sails, remove Biminis and sun covers 🔹remove all electronics exposed to weather or that could become exposed to weather due to removal of storm covers 🔹do not leave trailer boats near trees, if in a flood prone area, consider securing the boat and have the bungs in so the boat can float.
