Weekend packed of Rugby! This Saturday the Katherine Krocs Golden Oldies Rugby Club and the Cops will have a game from about 5:30pm at the Katherine Town Oval near the pool. This will be followed by a 'Curry Night' - grab a plate for $15. Also bring chairs and byo. Some Krocs merchandise will also be on sale. Then on Sunday is the Mother's Day Classic Fun Run for Breast Cancer Research - starting from near the cemetery. If anyone isnt having a run but is keen to help out with the parking - free Pink t-shirts will be provided to those who can help - let Marc know on 0437 525 092 if you can help out. We've had to chuck a few extra players in, but we'll work out very well on the day. Logistics: A few guys are going up on Friday night and staying at 'The Cav' - please let Poddy know if you need a lift or can take a car up - call him on 0475 917 816 Others are heading up on Saturday morning - if you need a lift or can take a car please let Marc know on 0437 525 092 - also call him about fuel if needed. We aim to leave by 7am sharp. Accomodation Saturday night: Mecure Darwin Airport Resort (courtesy of Mecure and Accor Hotels and the NTRU). Team warm up on Saturday at 11am at the University Pirates grounds at Charles Darwin Uni (thank you Pirates for the hospitality) - if you need directions call Marc or Poddy on the phone number above. Everyone is required to attend. Strapping if needed will be done at the Airport Resort from 1pm - dont miss it if you need it. Jerseys and team kit will also be presented - players get to keep. Also please wear team polos to the grounds (see Poddy if players need one). Game will kick off at 5:30pm at Landrover Park at Mararra (Rugby Park) - the team will head to the grounds by 4pm at the latest. Following the game there will be the Australia vs NZ game that we'll watch and lots of frivolity.... Should be a cracker of a rugby weekend! Dont forget your rugby boots!
