A safe and secure NSW. We encourage contributions to this page, but please do NOT report crime here. This includes noise complaints etc... Northern Beaches LAC is contained within the North West Metropolitan Region and is situated on the Northern Peninsular of Sydney. It is made up of two local council areas, those being Warringah and Pittwater. The Command is boarded by Manly/Davidson LAC to the south, Kuring-gai LAC to the north west and the waterways of Pittwater and Cowan Creek to the north and north west and the Pacific Ocean to the western boundary to North Shore LAC. The command is 277.55 square kilometres and consists mainly of residential, industrial/commercial and National Park/bushland. The command is a popular tourist area for both recreation and entertainment. The industrial area also attracts a daily influx of commuters. No train line exists through the command, however public transport is supported extensively by Government buses, along with a ferry commuter service from the central coast and other communities north of Broken Bay.

DEE WHY Between 3pm and 4pm on Monday, a thief gained entry to a white Isuzu truck that had been left unlocked on Pittwater Rd at Dee Why and stole a backpack containing documents, glasses, headphones and a USB. AVALON BEACH. A bicycle that had been chained to a pole beside Avalon Pde at Avalon Beach was stolen between 7am on Friday and 9am on Monday. NARRAWEENA Overnight on Sunday, a thief gained entry to a white Subaru Levorg parked on Pertaka Place at Narraweena and stole a wallet and its contents. BROOKVALE Between 3pm on Sunday and 6.45am on Monday, a thief broke into a business on Sydenham Rd at Brookvale and stole four Milwaukee tool kits. NARRABEEN A thief broke into a white Mitsubishi Triton utility parked and secured at Pittwater Rd at Narrabeen between 6pm on Friday 11pm on Sunday by smashing the offside quarter-panel window and property from the vehicle, including a mobile phone. BELROSE Property, including a spare tyre, was stolen from a gold-coloured Toyota Rav 4 parked on Morgan Rd at Belrose between 9pm on Monday and 3pm on Wednesday. The thief gained entry to the vehicle by smashing the rear window. DEE WHY Between 8pm on Tuesday and 8am on Wednesday, a thief stole a wallet containing three credit cards and other personal cards from a white Holden Cruz station wagon that was parked in Oaks Ave at Dee Why. Coins from the console were also stolen. The victim contacted their bank immediately, by which time the credit cards had been used numerous locations such as Dee Why, Narrabeen and Brookvale. MANLY Between 5pm on Sunday and 5.20pm on Thursday, a Time VXR Pro Team Racing bicycle worth $2500 was stolen from Quinton Rd at Manly. NARRAWEENA Overnight on Wednesday, a wallet containing cards and cash was stolen from a car parked on Yallaroi Rd at Narraweena. MANLY Between 4pm and 5.06pm on Thursday, a thief stole a wallet and its contents from the victim’s open hand bag while she was at North Steyne at Manly. MANLY About 10:05pm on Thursday, a 37-year-old woman from Fairlight was breath-tested on Sydney Rd at Manly. The woman allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of .135. She was charged with mid-range drink-driving and her driver’s licence was immediately suspended. MANLY Overnight on Wednesday, a thief gained entry to a black Volkswagen Golf parked on Bower St at Manly and stole a bottle of perfume and a bag containing a laptop computer and business papers. A grey Range Rover in the same street was broken into and a set of keys was stolen. On the same night a white Porsche Cayenne station wagon parked near Montpelier Place and Bower St was broken into and a garage remote control was stolen. A silver Volkswagen Golf sedan parked on Bower St was also broken into and a garage remote control and a set of keys were stolen. FAIRLIGHT A silver Toyota Kluger parked and secured at Bellevue St at Fairlight was broken into overnight on Wednesday and a First aid kit, an iPod, and a wallet and its contents were stolen. SEAFORTH A Seaforth woman has been charged with low-range drink-driving after she was breath-tested on Manly Rd at Seaforth at 12.13am on Monday. The 33-year-old woman allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of .055. MONA VALE A Brazilian national who fell asleep at the wheel while driving through Mona Vale has been charged with drink-driving. About 12.00am on Thursday, the 33-year-old man was driving along Pittwater Rd at Mona Vale when he fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle veered across the median strip, crossed three lanes, mounted the kerb and crashed into a handrail attached to the footpath of Pittwater Rd. The driver was found asleep at the wheel by another motorist and the police were called. The driver allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of .155. He was charged with high-range drink-driving and his licence was immediately suspended.

WARRIEWOOD A 35-year-old Warriewood woman has been charged with stealing beauty products worth $330 from a shop at Warriewood Square on Thursday afternoon. The woman was approached by security shortly after leaving the store and was asked to open her handbag. The woman was escorted back to the store and the stolen items were allegedly found. The woman was taken to Manly police station and charged. She will face Manly Local Court on March 1. MANLY Between 12am and 12.05am on Thursday, the rear door of a restaurant on South Steyne at Manly was kicked in and alcohol and a sum of money were stolen. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed. MANLY Numerous pot plants on the verandah of a restaurant on South Steyne at Manly were smashed on Wednesday night. NORTH CURL CURL Between 5pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday, a cafe in Pitt Rd at North Curl Curl was broken into via a rear door. A wall safe was accessed and an amount of cash was stolen. NARRABEEN A home in Park St at Narrabeen was broken into on Thursday between 7.15am and 7pm. The thief broke into the home by smashing a glass panel in the front door. A television and a laptop computer were stolen from the rumpus room. MANLY A parking permit was stolen from a vehicle parked in Smith St at Manly between 2pm on Monday and 9am on Wednesday. The window of the vehicle had been left open. AVALON BEACH Overnight on Wednesday, a handbag was stolen from the front seat of a vehicle parked but not locked on the headland near Avalon Beach. The handbag contained a driver’s licence and a camera worth $1000. COLLAROY A Narrabeen man has been charged with high-range drink-driving after he allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of .218 – more than four times the legal limit. The 47-year-old man was breath tested at 10.20pm on Sunday. As well as being charged with drink-driving, the man’s driver’s licence was immediately suspended. NORTH BALGOWLAH Overnight on Saturday, a thief gained entry to a silver Ford Ranger parked on Water Reserve Rd at North Balgowlah and stole an iPod. ALLAMBIE HEIGHTS At 2.30 on Monday, a thief gained entry to a home on Anzio Ave at Allambie Heights but fled empty-handed when they were disturbed by the owner of the property. OXFORD FALLS Between 9am and 1.30pm on Saturday, the front number plate was stolen from a silver Audi that was parked on Oxford Falls Rd at Oxford Falls. DEE WHY Between 12.30pm and 12.45pm on Monday, a thief gained entry to a unlocked white Mitsubishi that was parked on Sturdee Pde at Dee Why and stole a backpack containing deodorant, CDs, a speaker, food, keys, a wallet and its contents. DEE WHY Between 9am on Saturday, December 10, and 9am on Wednesday, January 25, a number plate was stolen from a grey box trailer that was parked on Oaks Ave at Dee Why. QUEENSCLIFF The front and back number plates were stolen from a grey Mitsubishi Triton while it was parked on Dalley St at Queenscliff between 5pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday. BALGOWLAH HEIGHTS Between 6pm on Thursday last week and 1pm on Sunday last weekend, a thief gained access to a garage on Woodland St South at Balgowlah Heights and stole tools, a battery, battery chargers and a bicycle. BALGOWLAH A scooter was stolen from the front yard of a property on Condamine St at Balgowlah between 5pm on Wednesday last week and 3pm on Sunday laste weekend. WARRIEWOOD Overnight on Tuesday, a red Honda motorcycle was parked on Firetail Drive, Warriewood when an unknown person tried to steal the bike. The 54-year-old owner of the bike told police that the ignition has been jammed, the steering lock had been broken and the coated cable under the steering column has been cut. The motorcycle had been moved about 1m. WARRIEWOOD A blue bicycle worth $200 was stolen from Firetrail Drive at Warriewood on Tuesday. The bicycle had been left leaning up against victim’s vehicle, unsecured in the residential parking area underneath a unit complex. INGLESIDE A Toyota Hilux was stolen from where it had been parked and secured In Walter Rd at Ingleside overnight on Tuesday. The owner had left a set of keys concealed under the rear canopy as the vehicle, which was due to be collected by a tow truck for repair. BROOKVALE Some toys you never grow out of and clearly Lego is one of those toys. About 2pm on Sunday, a 30-year-old Caucasian man stole two boxes of Lego from a department store at Warringah Mall. The two boxes had a combined value of $250. Police are following up on information provided and hope to catch the Lego thief. MANLY A 25-year-old man had an expensive night out after he was caught by police urinating in to the bushes that divide Darley Road, near The Corso in Manly about 12.30am on Saturday. The man made no attempt to cover himself from the general public, who were congregated around a nearby licensed venue. When police approached the 25-year-old Bondi man, he appeared to be moderately affected by alcohol. The Bondi man became argumentative and complained that he didn’t deserve to be charged with offensive conduct but the police thought otherwise and fined him $500 and told him to leave Manly for at least six hours or he would be fined a further $1100.

Crime News DEE WHY Overnight on Tuesday a Hyundai Tucson parked and secured in a carpark at a unit block in Holborn Avenue at Dee Why was broken into and an express postbag containing samples was stolen. DAVIDSON A school at Davidson was broken into overnight on Tuesday by a thief forced who gaining entry through a ground-floor window. The thief stole a small key safe containing assorted keys to the school building. BELROSE Thieves attempted to gain entry to a home on Forest Way at Belrose on Friday, February 10. They tried to gain entry to the home by opening a closed but unlocked ground-floor front flyscreen door, after which they unsuccessfully tried to force the lock on the ground-floor front door. The occupant of the home found the door pushed very slightly in and the lock damaged but no entry was gained as the front door was deadlocked. The thieves tried again on Wednesday last week but this time an inexpensive piece of wood prevented the thieves from breaking in to the home. The occupant had placed pieces of wood in the sliding tracks to prevent the sliding glass door being opened. Police recommend wooden or metal poles as an effective way to prevent sliding doors and windows being opened unlawfully. MANLY A Giant Rencon men’s silver mountain bike was stolen from the veranda of a home on Pittwater Rd at Manly overnight on Wednesday. BELROSE A Kenthurst man found out on Wednesday how expensive it is to be caught texting while driving – $325 and the loss of four demerit points. Police spotted the 47-year-old man testing while driving on Forest Way at Belrose about noon on Wednesday. Police signalled the man to pull over and handed him the hefty fine. MANLY Between noon and 3pm on Thursday, a thief gained entry to premises on Marshall St at Manly and stole four iPads. DEE WHY Between 4.40pm and 4.55pm on Thursday, a thief stole a mobile phone that had been left unattended on a counter in a licensed venue at Dee Why. MONA VALE A thief used a brick to smash the window of a blue BMW parked on Parkland Rd at Mona Vale overnight on Wednesday and stole a Louis Vuitton handbag, a Louis Vuitton wallet, a keyring, cash and credit cards from the vehicle. NORTH CURL CURL Between 9am on Thursday and 9pm on Thursday, a thief stole a black box trailer that had been parked on Griffin Rd at North Curl Curl. BROOKVALE About 10.10am on Saturday, a 56-year-old woman from Beacon Hill entered a clothing store at Warringah Mall and took 10 pairs of underwear off coat hangers and allegedly hid them behind other underwear and left the store. A short time later, the woman returned and allegedly placed the hidden underwear in her handbag and walked out the store without paying for the items. Police attended the store, where the woman was identified by security staff. Police went to the woman’s home, where she was issued with an infringement notice for shoplifting. WARRIEWOOD About 5.50pm on Sunday, a 44-year-old man from Warriewood was breath-tested on Pittwater Rd at Warriewood. The man allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of .090 and was charged with mid-range drink-driving. MANLY A car parked on North Steyne at Manly between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday was deliberately damaged by an unknown person. DEE WHY About 11am on Sunday, a thief gained access to a white Volkswagen parked on Oaks Ave at Dee Why and stole a bag that contained a mobile phone, headphones and a set of keys. A window of the car had been left wound down. WARRIEWOOD Between 5pm on Friday noon on Sunday, a thief broke into a white Holden Astra parked on Forest Rd at Warriewood and damaged the ignition system before stealing a T-shirt, and gym membership tag from the vehicle. MONA VALE Overnight on Sunday, someone smashed the front and rear windows of a white Holden Commodore parked on Suzanne Rd at Mona Vale using a rock. BROOKVALE A 27-year-old Manly man has been charged with possessing cannabis after he was searched by police at Warringah Mall at 5pm on Monday. The man came to the attention of the police investigating vandalism and when they searched him, they allegedly found a resealable plastic bag of cannabis in his possession. MANLY Valentine’s Day turned a little sour for a 28-year-old wannabe Romeo on Tuesday after he entered a supermarket in Manly at 4.30pm, grabbed a bunch of flowers worth $35 and allegedly left the store without paying for them. The value of the drone and batteries is about $2000. NORTH NARRABEEN Overnight on Tuesday, a thief broke into a white Mitsubishi Lancer sedan on Garden St at North Narrabeen but the owner was smart enough not to leave anything of valuable in their car, so the thief left empty-handed. NARRABEEN A Collaroy man, 31, has been charged with low-range drink-driving after he was breath-tested at Narrabeen at 9.20pm on Thursday. The man allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of .062. NORTH NARRABEEN Overnight on Wednesday, a hole was cut in the tyre of a car parked on Rickard Rd at North Narrabeen. DEE WHY Police will be speaking to the female driver of a white Nissan X-Trail that crashed into a brick wall in Sturdee Pde at Dee Why at 11.40pm on Tuesday last week but then drove away. A witness obtained the registration number of the Nissan and gave it to the police. The cost of repairing the brick wall is estimated at $10,000. MANLY A mountain bike worth $600 was stolen from a bike rack outside Manly tennis courts between 9.30pm and 11.30pm on Monday last week. DEE WHY A wallet and a mobile phone were stolen from a car parked near the intersection of Pacific St and Pacific Lane at Manly between 9.45am and noon on Thursday. DEE WHY A backpack containing clothing, a camera cosmetics and a key was stolen from Dee Why Beach between 12.15pm and 12.30pm while the owner was asleep under a sun shelter. BALGOWLAH An electric bicycle worth $1500 was stolen from a carport in Beatrice St at Balgowlah Heights between 8am on Monday and 8am on Wednesday after a lock securing the bike was cut. NEWPORT A Warriewood man, 19, has been charged with stealing a bottle of alcohol worth $50 from a bottle shop at Newport at 2.55pm on Saturday. The man allegedly grabbed the bottle from a shelf and ran out of the shop. Police in the area were notified and found the man had hidden the bottle in nearby bushland. The bottle was returned to the shop and the Warriewood man was charged. Crime News!!! QUEENSCLIFF Overnight on Monday a Mazda BT 50 utility was parked and secured near the intersection of Highview Ave and Crown Rd at Queenscliff was targeted by thieves, who forced the locks on toolboxes secured to the tray of the ute and stole a tool belt, two nail guns, a laser level and assorted batteries and battery-operated Makita power tools. BALGOWLAH A tradesman’s utility was targeted while it was parked on Wanganella St at Balgowlah overnight on Monday. The thieves forced the lock on the tool box and stole tools, including a cordless drill and a charger. FAIRLIGHT A utility was targeted by thieves last weekend. The Mazda B32 was parked and secured in Charles St at Fairlight. Thieves broke the padlocks on three toolboxes on the rear tray but, unusually, nothing was stolen. KILLARNEY HEIGHTS About 8.30pm on Monday, police were called to a fallen tree in Connemara Ave at Killarney Heights. The tree had brought power lines down with it and a large branch had fallen across a Toyota Corolla parked in the street. Police closed Connemara St and Ausgrid arrived to render safe the wires and to facilitate the reconnection of power to the two houses affected. SES crews also arrived about 9pm to remove the tree from the road and the vehicle was removed from underneath the large tree branch. The vehicle was moderately damaged as a result of the tree branch falling on it. By 10.10pm the tree branch had been removed from the road and the road was reopened to traffic. NORTH BALGOWLAH Cars in North Balgowlah are continuing to be targeted by thieves who are having their lives made easier by vehicle owners leaving their vehicles unlocked on their driveways. Overnight on Sunday, a Toyota Kluger was left unlocked while it was parked on Kimo St at North Balgowlah. Thieves rummaged through the vehicle, leaving property strewn about the car, but nothing of value was taken. A second vehicle in the street was also targeted. A Volkswagen Golf had been parked and secured overnight on Sunday when thieves accessed the vehicle and rummaged through the contents of the glovebox and centre console but again nothing of value was stolen. NARRABEEN Thieves gained entry to a cafe on Ocean St at Narrabeen between 8.30am on Tuesday and 5am on Wednesday and stole a small sum of cash. NARRABEEN Between 8.30am and 8.35am on Tuesday, a thief stolen a spear gun from the back of a Ford Ranger that was parked on Ocean St at Narrabeen. MANLY Cash and a ring were stolen from a grey Subaru parked on Eurobin St at Manly overnight on Monday. SEAFORTH Between 6pm on Sunday and 5.30am on Tuesday, a thief gained entry to a business on Sydney Rd at Seaforth and stole cash. SEAFORTH Between 9am and 6pm on Friday, a thief broke into to a Holden Commodore parked on Seaforth Cres at Seaforth and stole a wallet. COLLAROY Overnight on Monday, a thief stole a silver boat trailer and a Quintrex aluminium boat that was on the trailer, which was parked on Brissenden Ave at Collaroy. CLONTARF Cash was stolen from a handbag that was left unattended near a bus stop on Manly Rd at Clontarf between 10am and 10.30am on Tuesday. BROOKVALE About 1am on Tuesday, a person smashed a window and gained entry to a business on Clearview Place at Brookvale, activating a security alarm and causing the would-be thief to flee. MANLY Tools were stolen from the tray of a Mazda BT50 that was parked on Eurobin Ave at Manly overnight on Monday. QUEENSCLIFF Overnight on Monday, a thief broke into a locked tool box on the back of a Mazda utility parked on Highview Ave at Queenscliff and stole assorted batteries, a tool belt, a nail gun, a laser level and power tools. BROOKVALE A 39-year-old North Narrabeen woman has been charged with possessing the drug ice after she was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of it after the car in which she was a passenger was pulled over in Shackel Ave at Brookvale at 11.15pm on Wednesday. COLLAROY Between 1am and 7am on Saturday, a thief stole a large heavy generator worth $4000 from the front of the grassed area in front of Long Reef surf club, Pittwater Road, Collaroy.
