Last night we had a busy meeting. First up we had Acting Senior Sergeant Mel Bicanic fill us in on the Inaugural Moreton District Emergency Services Gala Ball on the 10th February. Then we presented cheques from our annual Christmas Trailer Raffle to Tony Long from Humanitarian Projects International & Neal Clunes from Knights of the Southern Cross. Both groups help us with selling tickets for the raffle each year which is greatly appreciated. Finally we had an an emotional & thought provoking presentation from Sue Mayo from Hole In The Water which is having a BBQ fundraising day on the 5th February. Hole in the Water supports families that have been dealt a blow when losing a loved one through drowning, they also help to educate parents on awareness of the possibility of a child drowning.

2016 is nearly over and from Rotary Caboolture we would like to thank the local community for all the wonderful support they have given us this year. We have had our Chaplaincy Fun Run, our regular Morayfield Bunnings BBQ's, our Annual Golf Day at Caboolture Golf Club, our Annual Race Day at Caloundra & of course our Christmas Trailer raffle. With the monies raised from these events we have been to support the local school Chaplains, the Wunya Support Group, the Leukaemia Support Qld, various other local & overseas projects as well us the new & ever growing All Abilities Playground at Burpengary. Finally from the board & all our members, we would like to take this time to wish everyone in the community a very Merry Christmas & remember to look after each other over the holiday period & we will see you all in 2017.
