Water Safety and Learn to Swim classes for babies and children up to kindy aged. Afternoon swimming lessons for school aged children. Established in 1993 Eaton Swim School teaches Learn to Swim from 6 months to adults. We believe your swimming lessons should be fun in a safe and supportive environment.

We are an outdoor partially covered swimming pool with lots of grass for the children to run on before or after lessons (or while their brother or sister is having their lessons).

We only ever have one class conducted at a time with a maximum of five students per class; no distractions or voices raised over other classes. Individual classes are also available.

Learning to swim in Queensland is a potentially life saving skill. We are serious about our responsibility in helping you and your child learn how to be safer in and around the pool and other aquatic environments.

Brews, Bites and Beats

Some very special friends of ours are organising an awesome event to come together and to raise some funds for Lara, and other kids with leukaemia. We are touched that they know us so well, it's going to be lovely! Craft beer, tasty eats and live bands.

Join a Red25 Group | Australian Red Cross Blood Service

When giving blood for Lara you can now literally do it in her name. Some lovely folks have set up a RED25 group called LARA'S SIDEKICKS. If you are a new donor let our blood donation centre know you'r giving in her name. If you're an existing donor you can join our team by filling in this form with your donor number. https://www.donateblood.com.au/red25/join-red25-group

LARA'S SIDEKICKS. Thank you everyone for your outpouring of love and best wishes for Lara. Her chemo is doing its job properly and reducing her cancer cells nicely. She is in great form and has a morbid sense of humour, fits right in on the oncology ward. We're at home for now. Those who have given blood for her, thank you, thank you, thank you. We have many dozens of new blood donators coming out for Lara and I am so grateful for that. It is the single most practical thing you can do for families with children with cancer. You can now donate officially in Lara's name (the blood isn't hoarded for her, but it's a nice indication for us of our major goal - to leave the blood bank in better shape than we found it). Just mention LARA'S SIDEKICKS to your nurse or reception at the blood bank and they'll record your donation in her team.

SElf defence for our swim kids

Keeping our kids safe in and out of the water. In May the amazing incredible (and also Little Big Swim Mum) Erin Cash will be joining us at the Big Pool in a series of Self Defence for Kids workshops. There's a twist to these workshops. Erin teaches the safety messages while delivering fun and focussed boxing and fitness circuits. We all learn better and retain information better when our bodies are moving. If you've been saying you'd like to take your kids to a self defence workshop one day but haven't, please don't put it off. These workshops will be with swim kids who know each other with one of the most experienced, talented self defence guru's I have had the pleasure of knowing. We are very lucky to have Erin in our ranks of swim parents and to have her available for these types of amazing opportunities. http://www.littlebigswim.com.au/swim-tips--blog/self-defence-for-our-swim-kids
