With Christmas fast approaching the Volunteers of our shop wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year. This year has been an excellent year for us - we have made new friends amongst our many customers and renewed old friendships. Of course our frequent customers are always welcomed as all our customers are. You, our much appreciated customers and generous donors have given us the support and encouragement that is much appreciated. Our elderly residents at San Carlo Homes for the Aged has benefited from our work, with a new up to date residential extension. The new furniture for their rooms have been paid for by the contributions that are raised from our shop. Again thank you to all and of course to our dedicated volunteers.

Today we finished our sales and the volunteers put in a very hard day's work in getting the shop ship shape for the new stock. Tomorrow sees all new stock on the floor so come in and do your spring and summer shopping and help a good cause. Hope to see you there soon.

We have had 2 very busy weeks with our $2.00 sale on each item of clothing,bags and shoe-manchester and crockery at half price. Because of incoming donations we are extending the sale for this week - selling each item of clothing at $1.00 per piece. Shoes and handbags will still sell at $2.00 and manchester and crockery will sell at half price. Some conditions do apply but please ask our friendly staff about such conditions. Because of the generosity of our donors to the shop we are again having a 2.00 sale on all clothing,bags,shoes and our manchester and crockery at half price. So come along and support us in our cause, helping the aged in our Nursing Home for our aged Italians - San Carlo Homes for the Aged in South Morang. The money raised is used solely for the equipment etc to assist our elderly residents.

Father's Day is soon here and we have decided to celebrate this great event by holding a Special half price sale on all men's wear shoes ties and hats. So if you want to buy something special for that man in your life come along to our Op Shop and be surprised by what you see and are able to purchase for this very special occasion. The Sale starts this coming Monday 22nd August and will finish on Saturday 3rd of September. Your support will greatly help us to provide for our elderly Italian citizens at the San Carlo Home for the Aged.

It seems only yesterday that we were selling all clothing items at $1.00 per piece but we find because of the amount of stock that we are again selling our stock at this bargain price. We have fantastic clothing to sell at this price and it gives you the opportunity of picking up some great clothes. So spread the word amongst your friends and we look forward to seeing you there. Op Shop Volunteers at San Carlo

Last Thursday,14th. April, the Volunteers of the Op Shop were invited by the Board of San Carlo to inspect the new wing of 38 units. The new wing is a state of the arts in the care of dementia residents. We have been honoured by the Board in that the New Building is dedicated to the work that is undertaken by our volunteers. We have always been proud of the work that we do, knowing that we are helping some of our most needy elderly Italians who in their later years need special care. We were later treated to a lovely lunch amongst a most pleasant ambience of friendliness, knowing that our work is very much appreciated by all.
