Remember your 1st day of school? Here is me with my 2 older brothers getting set for my 1st day of school. I remember feeling nervous, didn't know what to expect, will I make any new friends? At PerFit we understand that coming to a gym for the first time is no different and want you to feel comfortable in making your decision to join the PerFit Family by inviting you to join us for a free trial to meet our coaches, see our facility and experience our community. This is a no strings attached trial session, as our community is filled with amazing people like you, that want to be a part of it. That’s why we are inviting you to come along and see for yourself this Monday 15th May 7:00pm at the first night of our CrossFit Elements Course, this course is designed to introduce you to the movements found in CrossFit, in addition, we prepare you for moving into group classes by providing you with technique and skills to perform all movements safely. We practice these new movements in a short workout and give you intelligent substitution exercises to suit your specific needs. It is also the safest way that we can help you get started and be comfortable before entering a faster pace CrossFit class. SHOUT OUT to Mary Gilroy (MCG) Mary never ceases to amaze us, the engine that could from last week completing the 40km Surf Coast Trek, Dye Hard Run earlier in the year and this Sunday will be running with the rest of the world in Wings for Life World Run 2017 - Australia - Melbourne (Wings for Life World Run) With a sense of humour to match her motivation Mary is one incredible superstar that we love having in the PerFit Family #morethanagym #perfitfamily p.s. HAVE YOU MET ELEISHA? Eleisha is one of the most passionate coaches we have, her bubbly personality and the enthusiasm she brings to every single CrossFit Kids & Teens class is amazing and we are extremely lucky to have such a kind hearted, caring team member. Age- fabulous 40 Occupation- previously Kindergarten and Primary school teacher, now CFKids coach How long have I been at PerFit?- on and off for 3 years with mp, fire, and CrossFit sessions. Finally settled in Ballarat and joined as a member properly in October 2016. Outside of PerFit- Tennis, netball, snowboarding, caravanning, photography, travel, binge watching tv series, taxi for our 3 kids and their activities! Favourite/least fave moves- love: DU's, deadlifts, squats, sit ups Hate- running, t2bar Biggest achievement- Walking in the door! CrossFit changed my life from being very sedentary person and someone not very interested in health and fitness at all, into someone finding a passion for something I never knew was missing in my life. I love learning as much as I can about CrossFit, from seminars to visiting different boxes all over the world when travelling. I love that two great loves of mine- teaching and CrossFit have merged together and at PerFit I have the incredible opportunity to share this journey with our kids and teens. Future goals- I have a few on the blackboard haha stringing pull ups and toes to bar together, running non stop around the lake, consistent training and having some great conversations with people around the box! Advice- Enjoy your journey and be open to learning something new from every coach. Mix up your training times and meet new people. Have goals and aim to achieve them in your own time! Stay humble. Be kind to yourself! Something you might not know- I've been a student, teacher or coach in some capacity, every year since the age of 4! #morethanagym #perfitfamily
