RULES OF PLAY

Each side has (5) five players on the court.
The game will consist of 4 eight (8) minute quarters.
Games will start on the game time scheduled.
Captain’s must make sure his team has paid & is ready to play at game time or a
goal penalty will apply. A further goal penalty will apply every 30 seconds late.
Captains must hand in paid card to umpires before game commences.
Games will start with or without teams on court.
No Bumping
No Pushing
No Tackling
No Shepherding
No Swearing

In five a side football and scoring is from inside your forward half only.

GAME PLAY/SCORING
6 points for a goal
1 point for a behind.


MARKING
-   The ball rebounding off the net and completed as a mark from a kick is a completed mark.
-   There is no minimum distance a player has to kick for his teammate to be awarded a completed mark.
-   Any player running back with the flight of the ball cannot be interfered with.
-   If the umpire deems contact IS MADE in anyway then a free kick will be awarded to the subsequent player.
-   A ‘specky’ type mark can result with a send off.

PLAYER INTERCHANGE
-   Interchange of players can be done at any time during the quarter.

-   Injured players can be interchanged at any time – by notifying the umpire.
-   Only 2 interchange players max are permitted per team, per game.
-   Any team found with more than 6 on the court at all times will incur a free kick to the opposition’s full forward at the top of the circle.
-   Interchange MUST occur through same netting door.

BLOOD RULE
-   A player bleeding must be immediately interchanged & cannot return until bleeding is controlled and or taped, bandaged up, cleaned and or covered up

PLAYER MATCHING TOPS
-   Every team must have the same matching tops, whether it be colored T-Shirts, football Guernsey’s or Bibs that the team owns and can purchase.
-   3 weeks grace will be given to make sure this is correct – after this 1 goal penalty for EACH top that does not have a matching top.
-   Umpires will enforce this.



FREE KICKS/PENALTIES
All players must be aware that indoor football is strictly NON-CONTACT and the rules are designed to keep the game fast free flowing and enjoyable for all involved.

-   Every player has 3 seconds to dispose of the ball (4 seconds for a set shot or player kicking out).
-   A call of ‘How Long’ will result in a free kick to the opposition, and continued offences will result in a send off.
