The Melbourne Innovation Centre | Business Incubation | Business Accelerator Program | Coworking Spaces  The Melbourne Innovation Centre is an international award winning business incubator located in Melbourne’s North with the support of the City of Darebin. The incubator is one of the longest running and most successful business incubation programs in Australia.

Founded in 1998, the incubator has successfully graduated over 300 businesses, generating significant benefits to the Victorian economy with over 1350 new jobs created. Over 100 current incubator businesses are located across Melbourne Innovation Centre’s three physical sites in Melbourne’s North.

In this time, Melbourne Innovation Centre has provided facilities, mentoring, access to grants and capital, pitch training and business support to an extensive array of startup and small businesses in Melbourne. The social benefits of our programs include generating new sustainable enterprises, employment creation, and wider local economic growth.

MIC is a hub of acceleration, information and cooperation. We understand that hard work is best complemented by connectivity; that the brightest idea needs the right resources to shine. This is why our internationally acclaimed incubation program provides clients with the expertise, training, programs, and networks that they need to flourish.

MIC’s management team has a collective 35 years experience in the innovation and incubation industry and regularly advise on the establishment and implementation of business incubation and acceleration programs Australia wide.


Our international network spreads across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Soft landing opportunities can be facilitated via MIC’s strong relationship with the International Business Innovation Association.
