Well done to Amanda and Michael Sheeky Finalist in the Adelaide City Council Lord Mayors Awards. Sport Volunteer of the Year. Michael Sheeky and Amanda Sheeky didn't win but very proud of them being finalist. Great representatives of Demons Touch Football Association. Well done guys.

Round 2 Wrap up. Well how nice was last night. Full Moon and it wasn't too cold!!! We had some pretty lopsided games with possibly our top 5 teams showing their cards. At 6.45pm on Field 1 we had Buff v Junior Buff and no mercy shown by junior buff dominating the game to win 17-2. Buff have a few newbies while Junior Buff have picked up some quality Grovers players and should be pretty competitive and possibly a top 4-5 side. On field 2 Slapped together played CSF and this was our closest game for the evening with both teams showing they at very competitive. New team CSF will only get better as well so look out for these guys come finals I reckon. Final scores 19-16. At 7.45 we had two lopsided games. NRG showed they'll be a top 2 side defeating Da Imports 17-6. Admittedly Da Imports had some newbies as well but NRG just too good. Uga Roo took on what I reckon will be our other top 2 team YTOF and although they challenged them, YTOF just too strong and won 17-8 Next week YTOF have the bye At 6.45pm on field 1 Buff V CSF on field 2 Junior Buff v NRG At 7.35pm on field 1 Slapped Together v Uga Roo On field 2 Da Imports v Beached As Cheers Bill Sheeky

Good Morning Everybody We have had a Team return to play on Wednesday Nights, Beached As, who played out with us a couple of winters ago, so welcome back Clare and her team. What that means is, we’ll be doing up a new Program which will be for the next 9 weeks as we now have a BYE scenario. Don’t panic, TONIGHT’S GAMES STAY AS THEY ARE and “Beached As” will start their BYE with tonight’s round, so throw out that program I sent you; Swish will create a new program today and I’ll let you all know when it’s up on Sporting Pulse. It looks like it’s going to be a nice night tonight, just wee bit cool!!! Round 1 wrap up. Hi Everybody Well apart from being a wee bit fresh it wasn’t too bad a night to kick off our Winter Touch Footy Season; We had a couple of pretty close games with one of them just being the 1st score difference as both sides had scored the same. Makes in interesting when that happens that’s for sure!! 6.45pm Game on Field 1 saw Slapped Together (A mixture of Decepticons and Slappers from Summer) play BUFF, both sides were short of players at the start plus Scott Sheeky having to Ref his own team as our Ref Numbers are down this winter as well!! Scott managed to get on at Half Time, thanks to Rebecca for stepping in to Ref, but he ended up paying for BUFF who were struggling for players and it turned out to be a pretty tight game in the end ; Slapped together scoring 3 times to get the 6 points while BUFF managed 2 scores but got that first one and finished with 5 points., 6-5. On Field 2 NRG took on a very depleted YTOF who seconded Sheeks from NRG to play for them, just so they could play!! NRG had minimum numbers as well but to Craig and Amy’s delight were able to debut young Madi Barnetts in her first Senior Competition Game, great to see families getting to play together!! Game wise YTOF proved too strong to win 13-6 (6 tries to 3 tries) but that might have been Sheeks doing!!. Hopefully YTOF can find some more players as the season goes on. 7.35pm Games saw the second BUFF team take on the newly resurgent Uga Roo on Field 1, this was the game where the 1st try was the difference with UGA Roo winning 11-10, it was a pretty good game with a few spectators out there and I tried my best to get them to come out and play!!! If you’re going to be there to watch, u might as well have a run!! Be interesting if we get any takers from that. On Field 2 our new team CSF took on Da Imports, again both teams were short of female players but we managed to second some from the BUFF Team to fill in. Both teams have got some very quick players and this was one of our higher scoring games with CSF winning 17-12. Again hopefully we can get some female players to play for these teams otherwise we’ll be shuffling players around to make sure we don’t have the forfeits. As you would have seen it’s pretty casual in Winter so if we have players happy to play a couple of games to help teams have their numbers please do step up, especially if you see they haven’t got subs. Attention all U18 players playing out in our competition. SA Under 18 state team trials will be taken place on the 27th and 28th May. Times to be confirmed but I would imagine it will be at Greenhill Road. We have a few players out in our competition who could definitely make State. So if keen to try out stay tuned for the times and the announcement of coaches!!
