Welcome to Findon High School

Dear Parent/Carers, Just wanted to say how great our students look in the new uniform. They really do look smart and confident. The arrival of the cooler weather is a reminder that we now have a new warm jumper to wear and a spray jacket. From the commencement of the 2018 school year, students will not be permitted to wear the windcheater. We appreciate your support in this matter. If you have any queries please check the uniform policy on our website. http://www.findonhs.sa.edu.au/ Sue Burtenshaw Principal

Liked the food you tasted at Findon High School’s open day? We will be uploading one FinCat recipe each week! This week’s recipe… ‘Oreo Cheesecake.’ Ingredients: Base · 2 pkts (2 x 150g) Oreo biscuits · 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted Filling · 500g cream cheese · 1/3 cup caster sugar · 1/2 cup sour cream · 1 tsp vanilla · 1/2 tsp salt · 1 egg · 1 egg yolk · 1 pkt (150g) Oreo biscuits, roughly chopped Method: 1. Preheat oven to 160°C fan-forced. Line a slice tray with baking paper and set aside. 2. Place two packets of Oreos and the melted unsalted butter into the food processor and process until it is fine crumbs. Press into the base of the slice pan and level with the base of a flat bottomed glass. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside to cool while you prepare the filling. 3. Using a mixer, beat the cream cheese until it is light and fluffy. Mix in the sugar, sour cream, vanilla and salt. Beat in the egg and egg yolk until well combined. 4. Stir through the chopped Oreo's and pour over the base. 5. Bake for 40 minutes. Leave to cool in the tin and then refrigerate for 4+ hours. Slice when chilled.
