Da mischievous Shetland fairy folk. Cunning an’ sneaky. Ill-trickit an’ sometimes twartled. Hoidin somewye in da peat hill, under a heddery broo. Only venturing oot o’ der 'trowie knowes' when it’s dark. You might joost hear dem whispirin, kinda gruff an hirrss, but by heevins der sae hard tae hear an’ hard tae see, lat alane catch.
Handmade Trow-like figurines, captured in a jar. Each one with a unique character and scene.
Their muckle noses an' lugs are handmade from clay. Acrylic "oo" is used for their messy, trowie hair.
Each piece is delicately positioned in the jar with a scene. Using materials; preserved moss, sand and beach pebbles. All natural and hand picked from the Shetland shorelines.
The final product is completed with a wooden tag and the all important hessian lid cover for keeping them slightly hidden. Forcing the onlooker to gently peer in at them, without giving them too much of a ‘gluff’.
