Guys it's April and the start of winter ball for 2017. Rovers are fielding the one team and have been graded second grade. We have a lot of players returning from 2016 and some new players making Rovers debut. I would like greet Amy Collins, Ben Seis and Mike Cannington to the Rovers roster. Round one vs Scots @ Phil Austen; On wet diamond Rovers started well in the first scoring two runs. Nathan Seis started well conceded a run in the first and two later in four innings of work. Some support in the later innings seen Rovers take comfortable lead. Amy came on in the last innings to shut down Scots. Final score 17 -3 to rovers. A please coach was happy as it was a solid first up effort with an all over team effort. Mvp today was Nathan with four solid innings and hitting by Glen, ben and amy. Next 2:30 gam eat Hammondville and see you there.
