We cultivate a variety of plants for culinary experience, medicinal use and aesthetic enjoyment.

Our plants are grown in a soil that is lightly tilled, covered as much as possible(mulch, cover crops, tarps) and supplemented with plant based composts.

We grow without synthetic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers and commercial animal input (manure, bone-meal, blood-meal ect.)

Our produce is sold directly from the farm, by delivery or at the Spryfield Farmers Market.

Steven and I are headed to the Prospect Community Farmers Market. First one of the season, can't wait to get going! Lots of fresh produce to enjoy: -spinach-lettuce-kale-sorrel-turnip greens-carrots- And a great variety of perennials to plant: -comfrey, mint, echinacea, oregano, day lilies- Don't forget your cloth bags and baskets, it's time to get drastic and lose the plastic!

Remember me leaving these guys in the basement before Christmas? The tomatoes colored up a little bit, but not much. They dried down, but are still juicy, though not so sweet. I think I'll pop some in a stew, or maybe make a vegetable soup-definitely not going on a salad! I've saved some seeds- if you want some basement keeper tomato seeds, let me know!

Hello! What a great market day! What a nice warm buzzing spot, what a nice community to be a part of! I think a market is a really special thing, kinda like a patch work quilt, with each square offering a unique story. Thank you to all of my fellow vendors who are the squares (you are all so far from squares!) of this awesome quilt. Thank you to all the volunteers who are the thread that mend manage and hold this awesome quilt together. And thank you to the customers who appreciate and value the goodness this awesome quilt offers. Enjoy the tail end of 2016, and I wish you all the best in 2017! Stay cozy, see you in the spring! Tomatoes hanging out in the basement. This old Italian variety is supposed to ripen and hold on the vine after being pulled. I'll check in on them in a month or so!
